Young people, fifth grade and above, are trained to become acolytes, or altar servers for Sunday Masses. Fr. John, with the assistance of parishioners, Dan Haefliger and Annie Webb, trains the acolytes. Recently, we have asked students in our 5th Grade Faith Formation classes to go through training, which is offered during their regularly scheduled class time. Students in private schools are offered training on weeknights or weekends. Acolytes are especially needed for the 8:00 a.m. Mass and the 5:00 p.m. Mass.
